Creativity
You have the ability to develop skills and come up with ideas that no one else can. Learn from coaches and better competitors, but remember that you can rise above your role models not by imitating them, but by becoming the best version of yourself.
Truth
When searching for debate arguments or speech topics, prioritize communicating something true over what you think will win. It is always easier to convince someone of something that you honestly believe.
Empathy
Put yourself in your judge's shoes. The more you know about what they understand and believe, the more you know about what is necessary to explain and persuade.
About Danielle
I coach Team Policy debate and platform speaking events. My expertise is with the Christian speech and debate league NCFCA, where I have competed successfully for the past four years.
My goal in coaching is to help you become better at impacting people, but how you get there is learning how to win judges. I coach by asking questions to shift your thinking, and by challenging the underlying perspectives that are holding you back.
Some of my Team Policy Debate achievments include:
2nd place at the 2021 NCFCA Nationals
2nd place at the 2021 Region 12 Championship
1st place at the 2020 Big Sandy National Mixer
1st place at the first 2022 Region 12 Qualifier
3rd place and a 6-0 record at the 2021 West Regions National Open
2nd place at the 2022 online all regions National Open
